Air Source Heat Pumps
Heat pump systems are only as good as the design. We take a survey-led approach to sizing, emitter suitability, controls and commissioning — and guide you on the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) where applicable.
Designed properly for long-term efficiency
We assess your property and heating system to specify an installation that performs well. If your home needs fabric upgrades first, we’ll tell you — because insulation and heat pumps should work together.
Design priorities
- Comfort-first design (stable temperatures)
- Flow temperature and emitter suitability
- Hot water cylinder and controls strategy
- Commissioning, testing and handover
Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS)
The BUS provides an upfront grant towards replacing fossil fuel heating with a heat pump in England and Wales.
- £7,500 towards an air source heat pump
- Typically one grant per property
- Installer-led: the installer applies for the voucher
- Hybrid systems (e.g., gas boiler + heat pump) are generally not eligible
We’ll confirm eligibility during the survey stage and explain the process before you proceed.
Fabric first: insulation upgrades
Heat pumps perform best in homes with good insulation and reduced heat loss. If you need improvements, we can deliver insulation upgrades as part of a joined-up plan.
